On July first, 1984 Sylvain Miljours and his companion France Bérubé created their company "Les Aspirateurs du Nord" (Vacuums of the North). The company had set up their shop at 194 West Gamble in Rouyn-Noranda. At the beginning the incomes were modest and the company specialized only in the sale of vacuum cleaners used parts and bags for all brands of appliances. Given the quality of service and repairs done quickly entrepreneurs (motels, janitor’s company) brought grist to the mill.

With the growing popularity of the central vacuum we have no choice to offer these devices. This is the entrance of manufacturer Cyclo-vac which we are the oldest distributor. Over the years this manufacturer has become the largest in Quebec and also woldwide thanks to the quality of its products. Then Sylvain becomes the vice-president of the Canadian Association of Independent merchants vacuum.

Then in 1987 arrives Marie Pétrin the nice lady with whom everyone wanted to do business and who is always of good advice. From that moment Noranda Horne smelter has begun to appreciate highly the expertise of the company for the installation of central vacuum all over the plant. The hiring of installers is therefore urgent.

Comes the collaboration of the factory Dustcontrol Swedish expert in the control of toxic dust which is beneficial for all.

In 1995 Eric Lamarche joined the team bringing its valuable knowledge and his taste for a job well done. Now we provide efficient appliances at almost all mines, institutions, industries in Abitibi-Témiskaming.

Our know-how is exported outside the region and even outside the country. Not having neglected our valued residential customers they have remained loyal and a growing number.
